I was able to persuade my old colleagues to work with me, allowing a 5-piece group ! This is gonna be killer. In addition to Fred Hayes (drums), Craig Faltin ( bass), we've got Howard Wooten (guitar) and Gary Love ( sax). I'm getting excited ! —Jeff Daniel

Diane Schuur
Vocalist/pianist Diane Schuur is as eclectic as she is brilliant. Acclaimed worldwide for her vocal versatility and incredible 3½ octave range, Schuur was “discovered” by Dizzy Gillespie, who brought her on stage at the 1979 Monterey Jazz Festival A longtime disciple of Dinah Washington and other legendary jazz singers of the ‘40s and ‘50s, Schuur has built a stellar career by embracing not only the jazz of her parents’ generation, but also the pop music of her own youth during the late 1950s and ‘60s. In a recording career that spans nearly three decades – and includes two Grammy Awards and three Grammy nominations – Schuur’s music has explored nearly every corner of the 20th century American musical landscape. Blinded at birth due to a hospital accident, Schuur, nicknamed "Deedles," has won Two Grammy awards. Schuur has headlined many of the world's most prestigious music venues, including Carnegie Hall and The White House and has toured the world performing with such greats as Stan Getz, B. B. King, Dizzy Gillespie, Maynard Ferguson, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Quincy Jones.
Together, JD and Deedles will perform with members of their original group to win your hearts this Valentine’s Weekend. Sell out show is expected.
