About Us PDF Print E-mail

In December 2003, we got into the streaming media revolution. After 40 years as a television remote engineer, my wife and I moved to Tucson, Arizona. I went back to my roots of radios and we arrived into webcasting. In 2007, we were looking again into streaming a new station that would specialize in a new form of music. We then formed the Celek Broadcasting, LLC and the Arizona Jazz Network.

Our station would offer jazz in all its forms: country, smooth, blues, local and contemporary formats. We offer a full on-air studio with state of the art digital technology. We are able to be live at any remote site in stereo with a broadband high speed internet connection. Our remote satellite studio is a full working studio like our on-air studio. When we go live at a remote site we send our digital signal to our studios in Tucson via the internet to our on-air studio and then to our server in Dallas to the world.

We would like to introduce our new on air talent Mr. Michael B.  With his background of sales and On-Air Dj for over 17 years, he will make a great musical director and addition for the station.

We will offer the opportunity for our Arizona businesses to get involved with internet advertising at an introductory price.

We hope you will enjoy and support our “Hi tech” musical outlet.

Jeff Daniel

The “original jazz godfather of Tucson”, JD ( Jeff ) Daniel returns with a red hot new contemporary jazz CD - “Back To The Groove,” featuring David Sanborn, Brandon Fields & more, which is getting airplay across the U.S. as well as globally. JD will be fronting a quartet with members of his original groundbreaking group, which remains the most successful jazz band in Old Pueblo history. Daniel and company will be showcasing material from his new CD as well as reprising a few vintage crowd favorites.

Diane Schuur

Vocalist/pianist Diane Schuur is as eclectic as she is brilliant. Acclaimed worldwide for her vocal versatility and incredible 3½ octave range, Schuur was “discovered” by Dizzy Gillespie, who brought her on stage at the 1979 Monterey Jazz Festival A longtime disciple of Dinah Washington and other legendary jazz singers of the ‘40s and ‘50s, Schuur has built a stellar career by embracing not only the jazz of her parents’ generation, but also the pop music of her own youth during the late 1950s and ‘60s. In a recording career that spans nearly three decades – and includes two Grammy Awards and three Grammy nominations – Schuur’s music has explored nearly every corner of the 20th century American musical landscape. Blinded at birth due to a hospital accident, Schuur, nicknamed "Deedles," has won Two Grammy awards. Schuur has headlined many of the world's most prestigious music venues, including Carnegie Hall and The White House and has toured the world performing with such greats as Stan Getz, B. B. King, Dizzy Gillespie, Maynard Ferguson, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Quincy Jones.

Together, JD and Deedles will perform with members of their original group to win your hearts this Valentine’s Weekend. Sell out show is expected.
